Spyders in Smokies (Can-Am Spyders that is) Sept 22-25th

This Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there is a National, CanAm Spyder Rally in Gatlinburg. I've been noticing more and more of these three wheel  machines on the road lately, and while some argue that they aren't a motorcycle (and they aren't) they are much closer to a bike than a car, and a lot more stable than a traditional trike. The performance is great, and the stability they offer can't be beat.

On Thursday the riders from this Rally will head out from Gatlinburg and ride across 129 (aka the Dragon) before meeting at Alcoa Good Times (AGT) on Topside Road where they will all be treated to a buffet lunch. Over 100 Spyders are expected to attend, so it should be something to see.
If you haven't had the chance to ride a Spyder, I suggest you talk to Charlie Jansing, the owner of Alcoa Good Times. He was one of the first Dealers in East Tennessee to sell Spyders, and they often have test rides available.
